Young Archaeologist Club
Internet portal about archaeology dedicted to kids, but also to their parents and teachers. It activates child's interest in archaeology by proposing games and competitions, but it has also educational functions.
Foundation of the Institute of Archaeology in the University of Warsaw Friends asked us to create the first portal concerning archaeology for children. Since the target group is represented by kids, the website needed to be clear and to draw attention by an interesting layout.
We did our best to design a warm, friendly and clear layout, adjusted to children's needs. We divided the portal into two categories for children (dependently from the age) and one for adults. We added simple games for the youngest users and some more difficult for those a bit older. Our purpose was to create a colorful, attractive website which would activate children's interest in archaeology.
We constructed a portal which has both educational and entertaining function. Animations are adjusted to children's needs, just as the simply navigation. When playing, kids get to know archaeological issues and learn p.ex. what to do when finding a relic of the past.
